On the 21st of November ESN Chur went again on a Day trip. This time we decided to show our erasmus students the famous Läderach Chocolate Factory.
We met at 10am in the morning in Chur at the train station where we took the train to Bilten. The factory was very close so we only had to walk a couple of minutes.
After arriving there, we got some presents which were 3 chocolate pralines, a spoon to do some tasting and a leaflet with description of how to chocolate was made. Then the tour started. Each step of the chocolate making process was explained in detail which was really interesting. From the venue we could also watch on site how the chocolate is being made in the different machines and how it was fabricated. The best part of the tour was of course the tasting for which 3 chocolate fountains were set up. We loved it! :-)
After the tour we got a 5CHF voucher for the shop where everyone could buy some chocolates for their friends and families to take home (or for themselves of course ;-))
The next stop was Rapperswil, a small town at the lake of Zurich. Philipp showed us around and we learnt some interesting history about the famous castle and the town. As the weather was freezing cold and stormy, we decided to sit in a Pizzeria at the lake and enjoy a nice meal. Then at around 5pm we caught the train back to Chur.
The trip was a nice experience even though the weather was not on our side we really enjoyed it and thank everyone for being part of it :-)
